Weekend Cigarettes

About

Weekend Cigarettes formed in 2015, emerging from the remnants of iconic Northwest Italian bands like Deep Throat, Neurostar, and Never Mind. Drawing influences from 90s California punk, old-school hardcore, grunge, and pop-punk, their sound blends Francesco's alternative rock sensibilities with Daniele’s sharp guitar and Alessandro's solid drumming, creating a unique, hard-to-label style.

The band released their debut EP Eureka in 2016 and followed with their first full-length album How Do You Feel in 2019. Despite the pandemic disrupting live shows, they performed at notable events like Sanremo Rock and shared the stage with The Rumjacks. In 2023, Weekend Cigarettes released their second album, The Chosen One, a dark, intense work exploring themes of societal unrest and political instability.

Between 2023 and 2024, the band toured extensively across Italy, France, Switzerland, and Germany, playing alongside bands like Shandon and Svetlanas.

2025 will be the year of the newest release, as Weekend Cigarettes is set to share the split LP “Weekend Inferno” and many stages across Italy and Europe with friends Verse, Chorus, Inferno
